Right now, our leaders are making life-and-death decisions based on partisan calculations. We see a cycle of "forever wars" where oversight is treated as an afterthought and the strategic vision is often clouded by interests that don't align with the American soldier—or the American taxpayer. And with a massive new forever war underway it’s never been more obvious how important it is to have checks in Congress to limit the President’s authority.

A "War of Choice" should be met with the rigorous and appropriate skepticism required by members who have actually led troops in combat. Prioritize the safety of our republic over the price of oil, and understand that true strength is found in the wisdom to avoid unnecessary conflict.

We need for you to stand up and fight for the American people. Or stand down and get out of the way.
